Prayers please.

Baby James is experiencing a set back the last 24 hours. They assure us it's normal activity for a premie, yet certainly scary for mom & dad. He's had two X-rays to look at his intestines which show slightly worse this afternoon compared to this morning. X-rays are showing dilation which means he has air/gas he's not processing. He's been taken off milk feedings and he received an IV put into his tiny little hand to receive IV fluids (electrolytes, proteins & sugars). His feeding tube was removed from his nose, but he has a new tube in his nose to help pull out some of the air from his belly. Please pray all of these measures are successful and that his X-ray in the morning shows improvement.

Unrelated, he will also receive an ultrasound tomorrow to look at his sacral area. This is simply a precaution to ensure there is nothing more to see than the slight little crease in his skin at his low back area around the top of his tiny little bottom.
